NEED
The History Center was embarking on a large exhibition of twenty-six
significant aspects of the region. The Hidden Pittsburgh A-Z exhibit
needed to be educational and exciting for all ages, with a special
focus on children so that more families would feel welcome.
SOLUTION
Celento Henn proposed a friendly approach of using large alphabet
blocks that visitors could walk around, in, and through. Each letter
has its own topic that will give the visitor important but little
known facts about the region. By designing both the exhibitry and
graphics, we were able to provide the visitor with a well integrated
look and feel.
RESULTS
Comments have been overwhelmingly positive, especially with regard
to activities for children. Attendance has been very high, with large
increases in family visitation, the museum’s targeted market. |
